All LÄRABAR Original Fruit & Nut bars are made with dairy-free ingredients – even our indulgent chocolate chip flavors! Though the vast majority of chocolate chips in the world are made with dairy, soy or both, we specifically asked our supplier to provide us with chocolate chips which are Vegan—containing no dairy.

We believe good practices and good products go hand in hand. That’s why we partner with Fair Trade USA to source cocoa and chocolate chips used in LÄRABAR Original Fruit & Nut Bars and LÄRABAR Protein bars. For more information, you can visit FairTradeUSA.org.

Fair Trade USA’s mission is to cultivate a more equitable global trade model that benefits farmers, workers, consumers, industry and earth. When a product is Fair Trade Certified, it means that it was produced in an ethical manner; using environmentally sustainable farming methods are required, safe work conditions are ensured, and forced child and slave labor are prohibited.

In some cases, the product might cost a little more – but that premium is routed back to the community where, by a democratic system, the farmers decide how to invest the funds.

LÄRABAR has many gluten-free options across our foods. From our Original Fruit & Nut Bar to our Kid brownies, we are committed to making many delicious, gluten-free snack options that the whole family can enjoy.

In addition to using simple ingredients, we have manufacturing controls in place to assure there are no cross-contact concerns in our ingredient sourcing or recipe development. For our gluten-free offerings, we also periodically verify our practices using Gliadin gluten testing.

All of the LÄRABAR products are certified Kosher or Kosher Dairy by the Orthodox Union. Look for the "U" and “OU-D” within a circle on our certified Kosher and Kosher Dairy snack bars.
